Usage and Care of Your Stockmar Paints

Stockmar watercolors are a long-lasting investment in creativity for both children and adults. With a little care, your paints will stay vibrant and ready for countless painting sessions.

Dilution for Painting

A good starting point is 1 part paint concentrate to 9–10 parts water. This creates beautiful, transparent washes, though you can adjust the ratio to suit your style or desired intensity. Beginners will find this a helpful guideline for getting started with Stockmar watercolors.

Storing Leftover Paint

If you have leftover paint, store it in a lidded container in a cool place, ideally in the refrigerator. Use within two weeks, or discard if it develops an unusual odor. Leftover paint is safe to pour down the sink.
